AuPix VRS systems are dedicated to the purpose of video sign language interpretation.
Video relay technology enables a deaf or hard of hearing caller to make a call to a video interpreter and to request an onward call to a phone number of their choice.
Each agent can include up to 10 people on the call including other agents, and additional voice or video legs.
A popular feature is voice carry over (VCO) where the audio signal from the deaf caller's home telephone is included on the call in addition to their video system.
A comprehensive record trail is required for billing purposes and the reports from the VRS can show numbers and durations of all call legs, grouped together into a single record.
Agents may hold, transfer, conference and forward calls to other agents.
Supervisor modes allow the monitoring of agents and service levels. Supervisors may additionally access a "continuous presence" video view to see all call participants. Reporting includes average wait times, abandoned calls, for each queue or agent.
