New videophone enables spontaneous, voice and video calls
from the desktop with VoIP
Business executives can now use the latest videophone technology to make instant video calls to key business associates, as they would a normal phone call.
With a 12” colour touchscreen the videophone enables ‘true’ video conversations, with technology developed from 50 man years of effort and multi-million pound investment. Both voice and video calls can be made anywhere in the world for a fraction of typical call costs, through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
Several organisations are currently trialling AuPix’s videophone to offer improved service to high value clients and partners. This personal ‘videolink’ can be used as a normal phone but also to communicate visually via the video function, enhancing working relationships and differentiating from competitors.
The AP-100 can work across local area networks, wide area networks and the Internet. It is designed to promote more effective communication between locations and between companies as well as reducing the need for global, national or even local business travel.
“Our vision is to have a videophone on every key decision maker’s desk by 2010. We’re already on our way to achieving this by working with numerous major corporates to add value to customer relationship management strategies as well as reducing internal business travel costs,” said Graham Brown, managing director of AuPix.
