The Central Laser Facility at the CCLRC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) chose AuPix to develop a video intercom system.
AuPix's AP-100 video phones were specifically customised so each user could contact key department members at the touch of a button. The system works like a video enabled intercom system and is designed for regular staff and visitors to use without the need to program extension numbers.
The touch screen control panel on the AP-100 graphically illustrates the various departments enabling them to be contacted by pressing one button. This has dramatically quickened communications across the site and within the core elements of the facility.
